Thank you for coming to SELF PORTRAIT!

Thank you all so much for making the SELF PORTRAIT opening reception a success! We had great fun mingling with all you artists, friends, and art lovers who helped make this possible. SELF PORTRAIT Exhibition Opening Reception is this Thursday!

Eleventh Street Arts invites you to SELF PORTRAIT opening this Thursday evening, 6-9pm. Curated by Artist Colleen Barry, the exhibition convenes 27 leaders of the contemporary realist revival for a painting and drawing show that celebrates self-portraiture.

La Napoule Announces a Residency Stipend! Application deadline extended to MAY 1.



RESIDENCY STIPEND
The LNAF Foundation is now providing a residency stipend of $2,500 per artist to facilitate participation.

This year's residency dates are July 11 - 25, 2017. It is open to the public.

Two artists will be selected stay at a villa on the grounds of the 14th Century Chateau de La Napoule in the historic seaside town of Mandelieu-la Napoule. The chateau is a French historical monument renowned for its restoration and architectural details. Six acres of grounds surround the property. Surrounding natural areas are accessible on foot. The public beach is close.

The residency also covers lodging, breakfast and travel back and forth from the Nice airport. The villa rooms each have a private bath. There is a kitchen for cooking, and markets and restaurants nearby. Artists need only speak the language of art, no French necessary.

Application Requirements:

-A brief statement of intent (500 words or less)
-Three images. Subject matter is not limited to landscapes and can include figure, cast and still life. Drawings, particularly figure drawings, are encouraged.

-$25 application fee
