Congratulations GCA Scholarship Winners!

The following thirteen core students won scholarships towards their continuing studies in 2015-2016! The prizes were awarded to students for their excellent work as well for their rigorous commitment to disciplined study. Scroll down to view more images!

Thanks to the ongoing generosity of the Morris and Alma Schapiro Fund, The Alfred and Jane Ross Foundation and the Anders Larson-Toich Memorial Scholarship, GCA teachers were able to award $65,000 in scholarships!


First Prize, $5,000 scholarships were awarded to:
4th year students Katie Engberg, Andrew Payne, Charlie Mostow
3rd year students Tsultrim Tenzin, Dale Zinkowski, Raina Dai
2nd year students Savannah Tate Cuff and Mackenzie Swenson

Second Prize, $2,500 scholarships were awarded to:
4th year students Jon Brogie and Grant Perry
3rd year students Kevin Muller-Cisneros and Al Constanzo
2nd year student Addison Xu

Announcing a New Structure Prize!
This coming year, one core student working in Colleen Barry's figure structure class will win a $200 prize at the end of each month's pose. Colleen Barry picks the best drawing. We will post the winning drawing each month. Stay tuned...

Support our Artists!
GCA is committed to keeping tuition as affordable as possible with an annual tuition of $9,000 for full time study. Nevertheless, many core students hold part time jobs during evenings, weekends and summers--they do an incredible job keeping focused on their studies!
