BEGINNING TO APPLIED PERSPECTIVE
August 5 - 23
w/ Sam Wisneski & Anthony Baus
Sign up for all three weeks or Week 1 and Weeks 2&3 individually.
-WEEK 1: PERSPECTIVE CONCEPTS
(August 5 - 9)
Designed for artists of all levels who are interested in rendering convincing three-dimensional spaces. Students will begin by learning mechanical one and two-point perspective through daily drawing exercises in order to accurately render objects from observation as well as imagination. Morning lectures will introduce the basics of perspective concepts and begin to inform the artist how to render three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface. We will also discuss how perspective has been employed by artists of the past.
-WEEKS 2&3: APPLIED PERSPECTIVE
(August 12 - 23)
Designed for people who are familiar with and have a basic understanding of perspective concepts. We will be applying our knowledge to specific drawing exercises employing either strict linear perspective or free hand perspective derived through sketching. Each student will execute figure drawings from life and place the figures within a real or imaged space of their choice. Here the student will be able to further explore perspective concepts to specifically suit their needs.
