R, all of the students painting in full color are free to choose their own palettes, however it is recommended to begin with a more limited palette and work towards a full open palette. Some students choose to use a predominantly earth color palette made up of Ochres, Siennas, and Umbers, while others use a palette including Cadmiums and strong modern colors. Typically you will find titanium white, flake white, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow, burnt/raw sienna, cadmium red, terra rosa, Venetian red, alizarin crimson, burnt/raw umber, ultramarine blue, ivory black on most palettes in the school.
