Of Waddell work, I specially like his very strong shadows... I admire the way that he handle the edges!
ps: sorry for my poor english
the face is awesome, the body is awful
Yes I am agree, the body is bad, and is he a teacher?
Beautifully done! Face & body.
For those cynical of Scott Waddell's portrait, he artistically could suplex you on your head. When you are manly enough to do a multi figure narrative of men fighting a whale and are willing to post it for commentary, then you can talk.
Very nicely done. Scott's talent is at a level I aspire to achieve some day.
I live in Dallas and after looking at figure drawing and paintings online and especially from this blog I am inspired more than ever to learn more and practice with oil paints. If anyone can recommend a class I would be really appreciative. I'd rather go by recommendations than simply looking in the yellow pages. Thanks.
I don't know of any teachers in Dallas. I would suggest coming to New York for a summer workshop at the GCA.
