Plein Air Residency in the South of France - Application Deadline is May 13

By Josh LaRock

We are pleased to announce GCA's continuing partnership with the La Napoule Art Foundation (LNAF) offering a ten-day landscape painting residency for two artists, August 18 - 28, 2016.

This residency, hosted by LNAF and curated by GCA, is open to anyone who has attended the Hudson River Fellowship since its founding in 2009.

Applications are due May 13. For an application, click here.

Residency Details:
Artists will stay at a villa on the grounds of the 14th Century Chateau de La Napoule in the historic seaside town of Mandelieu-la Napoule. The chateau is a French historical monument renowned for its restoration and architectural details. Six acres of grounds surround the property. Surrounding natural areas are accessible on foot. The public beach is close by!

The residency covers lodging, breakfast and travel back and forth from the Nice airport. The villa rooms each have a private bath. There is a kitchen for cooking, and markets and restaurants nearby. The roundtrip flight is not covered. Artists need only speak the language of art. No French necessary.

Other Opportunities for Artists at LNAF:
La Napoule Art Foundation also offers other kinds of residencies open to all artists. Click here to find out more about other the chateau residencies that include one for a sculptor, interdisciplinary group and themed group residencies.
